Dr. Amy has been practicing psychology since 1984. She has specialized in working with children, adolescents and families for much of that time. Dr. Amy worked for various agencies and programs before starting her own private practice. Currently she is the owner and director of Trabitz and Associates, PC with offices in Dearborn and Royal Oak, Michigan. She sees patients in both offices, as well.
Our Treatment Focus
We have many therapists with several different approaches to therapy. Our approaches include cognitive behavioral therapy, play therapy, insight oriented therapy, psychodymanic therapy, and more. Not only do we provide individual and family therapy, but also group therapy and psychological testing.

We are able to help you recover motivation, perspective, and joy that you once had in your life. We can help you to develop skills and strategies to manage these uncomfortable feelings. Trauma & PTSD
Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that become difficult to mange and express. Trauma can be defined and experienced many ways that can and does impact future behavior and interactions. Therapy can help to identify and learn to come to terms with past experiences that are creating current problems in your life.

Relationships, whether with couples, parents and children, friends, or siblings can be challenging, frustrating and confusing. We can help you learn to recognize and resolve conflicts and to develop new, more adaptive strategies for managing the things life throws at us.
