Michigan Rehabilitation Services (MRS)
A statewide network of professionals provides vocational rehabilitation services for eligible individuals with disabilities, consistent with their unique strengths, resources, priorities, concerns, abilities, capabilities, interests, and informed choice, to prepare for and engage in employment and achieve economic self-sufficiency. STEMM-Up :
STEMM-Up is a new training program helping jobseekers find careers and companies find qualified candidates in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, or medicine (STEMM). For jobseekers, STEMM-Up can provide free training for your next career step. Contact your MRS counselor for more information.
Autistic Self-Advocacy Network (ASAN):
The ASAN provides consulting services to assist companies and agencies in including autistic individuals in diversity employment programs and providing workplace accommodations.
Michigan Career and Technical Institute (MCTI):
An educational center for adults with disabilities offering career assessment and exploration and 13 trade training options. Contact your MRS counselor for more information.
Job Accommodation Network (JAN):
Funded by DOL’s Office of Disability Employment Policy, JAN is the leading source of free, expert, and confidential guidance on workplace accommodations and disability employment issues. JAN helps people with disabilities enhance their employability, and shows employers how to capitalize on the value and talent that people with disabilities add to the workplace. JAN’s trusted consultants offer one–on–one guidance on workplace accommodations, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and related legislation, and self–employment and entrepreneurship options for people with disabilities.
