WHAT IS THE HERE TO HELP?

To put it simply, our goal is to assist you and be a hand up in a time of need.

We want to be there for you when an unanticipated emergency arises and you are at a tipping point. When help is needed and there is nowhere else to turn for assistance.

We want to be the bridge to get you to the other side and keep you moving forward. That’s your goal. That’s our goal.

WHAT DO YOU ACTUALLY DO?

We are a resource of last resort as we fill a void in our communities.

We have programs that address the big emergencies that confront people. Like needing a car to get to and from work or coming from homelessness and needing a security deposit to get off the streets. Or missing work for a period of time due to illness and then falling behind in rent and are about to be evicted.  Or being hours away from having your heat shut off or needing your car repaired to be able to get to your dialysis treatment.  Go to our What Do We Help With? page to learn more about our programs.

All of our programs also provide other forms of assistance besides economic help such as offering mentoring and support groups, locating housing, financial literacy help, computer and internet training, mental health counseling, referrals for job training, locating employment, negotiating with creditors, help with filling out job and employment applications and other non-economic needs that are encountered.

We’ve done our best, since we started in October of 2007, to provide as much help as we can and since then we have been able to assist over 10,000 people in our community who were facing an emergency.

But it’s not about us, it’s about you.
