Michigan Partnership for Equity and Opportunity launches to advocate for Michigan students

We are thrilled to have officially launched the Michigan Partnership for Equity and Opportunity (“MPEO”), a bipartisan coalition of civil rights, social justice, civic and business leaders working to promote educational equity for all Michigan students, especially the most underserved. Learn more below and help us spread the word.

We believe Michigan can become a national leader in public education. To do this, we need to overhaul our ineffective education funding system to create a new and equitable system based on transparency and accountability. We’re long overdue for this upgrade that will not only improve access to high-quality education for all students, but also strengthen the talent pool, foster more accountability for taxpayer dollars, and ultimately improve Michigan’s economic future for generations to come.

You can read more about our launch, our mission, and our members from all across the political spectrum, professions, and parts of Michigan on our website, in The Detroit NewsCrain’s DetroitChalkbeat and the Detroit Free Press.

We know you also believe in a better future for Michigan and our children ––learn more about how to make this a reality.

Below is social copy and newsletter language that can be used to share more about our new Partnership and its goals for Michigan’s students and our future.

Thank you so much, and we hope you join us as an ally for equity by spreading the word!”
