Detroit, MI The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Greater Detroit Chapter will recognize Elisabeth Berry as a Distinguished Volunteer at its 25th Annual National Philanthropy Day (NPD) Dinner on Thursday, November 10, 2016.
Distinguished Volunteers are the advocates, leaders, and mentors whose passion for their respective causes inspires philanthropic action and community involvement in southeast Michigan. Elisabeth is best described as passionate. She has led AAoM’s Young Professionals Board since its inauguration in 2014. She keeps this 10-person team on task, creating new events and looking for new ways to engage young professionals in spreading autism acceptance throughout the state. Her eagerness and hard work has taken the YPB to new levels over the past 2 years.

Autism Alliance of Michigan’s Young Professionals Board was created in 2014 to engage Michigan’s young professionals within the mission of AAoM. This includes volunteer opportunities, community events and programmatic opportunities for young professionals to get involved.
The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) of Greater Detroit, a membership resource utilized by fundraising and nonprofit professionals throughout southeastern Michigan, seeks to foster the development and growth of fundraising professionals, to preserve and enhance philanthropy and volunteerism, and to promote the highest ethical standards in the fundraising profession worldwide. The Greater Detroit Chapter of AFP offers the best networking opportunities, an unwavering commitment to the highest ethical standards, and the most exciting and cutting edge educational and professional advancement opportunities.
