AAoM’s Young Professionals Board Turns 3 Years Old!

Autism Alliance of Michigan’s Young Professionals Board (YPB) was formed three years ago with one goal: engage Michigan’s young professionals in the mission of AAoM. This group of 13 took that  goal and ran with it. Over the last 3 years, this group has:

  • Raised over $50,000 for the Autism Alliance of Michigan through various events: Champions’ Night Afterglow, the Autism Hero Walk, Give Back Thursdays and more.
  • Inspired over 300 Young Professionals to volunteer and attend AAoM events
  • Volunteered at dozens of AAoM events and given countless hours of their professional expertise to support AAoM activities

To celebrate their achievements, AAoM’s YPB invited their top supporters to a Birthday Party Brunch at the Brooklyn Outdoor Center. The entire event was donated by Becca O’Reilly, the Brooklyn Outdoor Center and members of the YPB. The YPB Corporate Chair Lauren Lewis said, “We started as a group of strangers with a common goal, hoping we could inspire other young professionals to give back to the autism community, and after 3 years we wanted to thank those supporters who jumped on board with us and have continued to support AAoM and the YPB in everything we do.”

AAoM’s Young Professionals Board is looking forward to their next event, the 4th annual Champions’ Night Afterglow. Tickets will be available soon and more information can be found here.
