The Lowry Center for Early Childhood Education offers early childhood education programming to children from 18 months to five years of age. Lowry Center provides the newest innovative equipment, materials, and practices to cultivate the development of young children.

Lowry is part of the School of Education and Human Services at Oakland University, administered by its Department of Human Development and Child Studies and is licensed by the State of Michigan. The center is a state-of-the-art facility and is designed to promote best practices in the field of Early Childhood Education. Each classroom is equipped to meet the developmental needs of that particular age group.
Schedule Options
Lowry’s academic year runs for 39 weeks from the day after Labor Day until mid-June. We offer a Summer Camp Program for six weeks in July and August. The center is open Monday – Friday from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. with before-care offered from 8-9 a.m. and after-care offered from 4-5 p.m.
Children can be enrolled two, three or five days per week.Tuesday/Thursday, Monday/Wednesday/Friday or Monday – Friday are typical schedules.In certain cases, exceptions can be made for alternate schedules if space is available.
