North Lake High School is an alternative high school for students aged 16-19 who live in the tri-county area. North Lake is administered by St. Clair Shores Adult & Community Education and Lake Shore Public Schools serves as the fiscal agent, with Lakeview Public Schools and South Lake Schools in consortium. The program is located in the Born Center.

What is North Lake High School?

North Lake High School is a place of opportunity. For many individuals, the “academic world” has been a struggle. We are different – North Lake High School has structured its educational environment to suit the needs of those deemed struggling learners. We provide a smaller, more comfortable and safe environment for students. With differentiated instruction, we are able to work with students at a much slower pace than what they may have experienced before. We have developed an environment that helps foster success.

North Lake High School will provide an education tailored to meet individual student needs, support a sense of belonging, and development of a positive self image. Each student will acquire the ability, knowledge, and character to excel in meeting the challenges and opportunities of a rapidly changing world.
