Mott Children’s Health Center

Description:

Mott Children’s Health Center was founded nearly 80 years ago with a focus on children’s health. Today, we have the same focus – the overall health and well-being of our community’s children. For us, patient care comes first. No eligible child will be turned away. To do this, we are guided by our core values.

We deliver quality, reliable medical, dental and behavioral services based on each child’s needs – from basic to specialty care. Our team also advocates for children’s health and provides health education and prevention programs within the Genesee County community. It’s true, children’s health and well-being is our mission.

Our health care services include:

  • Primary care clinic
  • Audiology/hearing services
  • Health education and nutrition
  • Family support services
  • Pediatric cardiology clinic
  • Community resources
  • Women, Infant and Children (WIC) Clinic, every Wednesday, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Call 810-237-4537 to schedule an appointment.

Mental Health services include:

  • Psychiatric evaluation and treatment
  • Medication management
  • Behavioral therapy
  • Psychological and educational testing
  • Physiological health testing
  • Educational/Development testing
  • Individualized counseling
  • Family counseling

Eligibility guidelines:

  • The patient must be:
    • a resident of Genesee County
    • meet the age guidelines: birth to age 18
    • meet the Health Center’s Financial Guidelines (see below)
  • A child who is a Ward of the Court automatically qualifies for MCHC services.
  • If the child has Medicaid, MIChild, Healthy Kids or other state-subsidized health insurance, it is not necessary to assess income. The only required proof of eligibility will be the child’s current insurance card.
  • If the child is not covered by one of the state-sponsored insurances, the maternal/paternal or custodial parent(s) must present evidence of income eligibility.
