Private Service for individuals or small groups

After interviews with caregivers and/or parents and an assessment, goals will be determined and music therapy interventions will be tailored to the individual needs of the client(s). Session are typically 30-45 minutes long, based on client’s strengths and needs.
Contractual Services
Music therapy services are provided within a school, nursing home, community center, or other preexisting organization.
IEP Assessment
The therapist will complete a detailed evaluation to determine whether music therapy is necessary in order for a student to access his or her curriculum and should be included on the student’s Individualized Education Plan. This service includes interviews with caregivers and teachers, classroom observation, data comparison, assessment based music therapy sessions, and attendance at an IEP meeting.
Adapted Lessons:
These are for the student who doesn’t yet have the skills for typical music lesson structures, but has a desire to learn an instrument as a leisure skill. Lessons and instruments can be adapted to meet the student at his/her level. Qchord, guitar, and piano are currently available, and others can be explored.
