Hestovin Stables Therapeutic Riding Center

Description:

Hestóvin Stables enhances the lives of children and adults who desire to explore the mental, emotional, social, and physical benefits of therapeutic horsemanship through safe, guided interactions with Icelandic horses. Each program focuses on forming a relationship with our equines while teaching riders proper horsemanship skills. At Hestóvin Stables, we define therapeutic horsemanship as innovative strategies to combine traditional horseback riding disciplines with therapy services to cater to the diverse needs of individuals.
We created our programs with the hope that riders and equines will form partnerships where they can experience emotional and social well-being. We foster an environment where we make it a priority to inspire, teach and learn from each other. We give excellent care to our horses and place high standards on safety for our participants, visitors, staff, and horses. Our goal is to develop a community that offers experiences through equine therapy that will positively impact the lives of children and adults.
Therapeutic Riding Lessons
Hestóvin Stables Therapeutic Riding Lessons cater to individuals who strive to overcome mental, emotional, social, and physical challenges. Our therapeutic riding program combines individualized riding lessons with developing relationships with the equine to create a partnership that will help the rider to reach their goal.
Our staff is PATH INTERNATIONAL CERTIFIED (Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship).
Each goal reflects on creating a positive experience that will improve our riders’ cognitive, physical, emotional, and social well-being. A Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor teaches our therapeutic riding sessions.
