I’m LaShonda Miller, a Limited Licensed Professional Counselor in Detroit, Michigan. I graduated with my Masters in Mental Health Clinical Counseling in June 2019. Since graduating my focus has been on trauma informed care, specifically working with survivors of sexual violence. I have varying experience including working with individuals with autism, working in career counseling, substance abuse counseling, domestic violence and working with children. I believe the the client guides treatment. My goal is for us to develop a honest working relationship so that you can reach your goals. I have a great understanding of the challenges that minority communities face. I have worked with the LGBTQ+ community, including working with transgender and non-binary/gender conforming individuals. I am fluent in ASL and have experience in the Deaf Culture. I am a very empathetic and understanding person. I believe everyone adds value to this world- sometimes we just need a little help finding it.
