The EnCourage Institute for Teaching and Learning is a resource and service center for students, parents, teachers, and administrators in the Western Michigan area. We provide specialized learning support through diagnostics, educational therapy, developmental therapy, behavioral therapy, professional development and consultation.

Educational Therapy

Educational Therapy is not tutoring. Educational Therapy is intensive, individualized educational interventions for children and adults with learning challenges

DIR-FRIENDS: Groups for ages 3-12

The P.L.A.Y. Project

Cogmed Working Memory Training

An evidence-based program for helping children, adolescents, and adults sustainably improve attention by training their working memory.

Other Services Include:

Tutoring – assistance with school work including online classes
SAT/ACT Preparation
IEP Consultation and Advocacy
American Sign Language classes (may fulfill foreign language requirement)
Mediation and Due Process Advocacy
Home School consultation and achievement testing
Inservice or Parent Organization Presentations
Reading and Writing interventions for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students
