Test administration is part of a larger diagnostic process that helps identify individual strengths and weaknesses and how those findings may fit into the context of the larger presenting concerns (e.g., memory impairment, difficulty with attention/concentration, depression, anxiety, Autism). These tests are standardized and thus scores are always compared with same-aged individuals to obtain the most accurate information. The testing procedure, depending on the referral question, can take from 2 to 5 hours and will typically involve answering questions, completing paper-pencil tasks, working with computers, and completing self-report questionnaires. Ultimately, a summary of the data is reproduced in a report that will generally be forward to each patient and the referring group. All evaluations are completed with consideration for the highest cultural and professional standards.
