Autism Forward, Inc.
Description:
Your place of solitude. Your retreat from the world. Surrounded by those you love and care for. When your solitude is disrupted, so is your ability to reach your greatest potential, building the family you once dreamed of, and still desire. When you feel you have tried everything and nothing is working, it is helpful to have a fresh perspective.
With Autism Forward, your concerns and challenges will be heard as we walk this journey with you. First-hand guidance and support will be present as you practice strategies to create that environment you desire. Your place of solitude; your retreat from the chaos of the world around you.
Your comfort is our priority, and our convenience will prove that. We can personally come to your home, video stream, or talk via phone.
Let us know what is best for you, as we take this journey together, making your dreams come true.
As an educator, you have an abundance of standards to meet or exceed, in addition to the remaining responsibilities of planning, grading, coordinating, organizing, and creating a learning environment. Perhaps the most critical standards that seem lost today lie in the hidden curriculum; respect, work ethic, functional communication, team work, self-love, attention to detail, etc.
Looking at a day in the classroom, it seems impossible to add any other variables. However, the reality is there; several challenges within unique needs of all students.
Providing both professional development and 1-1 collaboration, we tailor our services to the needs of your classroom and school. As previous education professionals, our desire is to collaborate with you, providing hands-on implementation of strategies that will assist with the rigorous demands and expectations you experience daily.
In 2010 the Department of Labor (DOL) stated that the unemployment rate for individuals with autism was nearly 90%. Although there has been a slight increase in employment in the past nine years, there has not been enough of a movement for numbers to be aligned. An unemployment rate of 75-85% remains today.
It is a priority of Autism Forward, Inc. to educate the community & the workforce on how to embrace the unique skill sets and abilities of employees and co-workers presenting characteristics of autism.
If you would like more information on the benefits of employing an individual with autism, getting your staff trained in working with individuals with autism, or just need your community to have a greater awareness and understanding of autism, contact us today. We would be honored to move your community forward through education, training, and advocacy.
