PLANE 2.0 – A Physical Activity Program for Autistic Children and Their Families

FreeIn collaboration with Wayne State University, PLANE 2.0 is a free after-school physical activity program for autistic children in grades 3rd through 5th and their families.
Where/When: Wayne State (Tuesday), The Heilmann Center (Wednesday), Munger Elementary (Thursday)
In the program, children will learn essential movement skills (running, jumping, throwing, catching, etc.) and important nutrition topics (food groups, proper hydration, and creating balanced meals). Parents (separate from the children) will have an opportunity to interact with other parents of autistic children while participating in a group fitness workout followed by a nutrition discussion.
Program Locations, Dates, and Times:
Dates: October 1st, 2024 through June 12th, 2025** (excluding holidays)
Time: Weekly from 5:45-7:15 PM

Wayne State University (Tuesday)
Heilmann Rec Center (Wednesday)
Munger Elementary-Middle School (Thursday)
