At Varghese Summersett PLLC, we are dedicated to our Fort Worth community and enjoy supporting various non-profit activities and organizations, including as ambassadors for Habitat for Humanity and as founding members of WORTH.

Each year our firm also gives back to the community in ways that are especially close to our hearts through the Varghese Summersett PLLC Annual Scholarships. We offer several annual scholarships, including criminal justice scholarships to law school students and special needs scholarships to students.

Two of our firm’s top criminal defense attorneys, Christy Jack and Letty Martinez, have children with special needs and they are passionate advocates for youth with disabilities. The special needs scholarships can be used to offset the cost of camp, tutoring, classes, secondary education, post-secondary education or tools to help the students learn and flourish.

Criminal Justice Changemaker Scholarship

To share our passion for the criminal justice system, we offer our $1,000 Annual Criminal Justice Changemaker Scholarship each year to relieve the financial burden of a deserving student pursuing their education goals. We encourage students to share with us a piece of legislation or law you believe is outdated, and why updating this piece will be beneficial to society. Students interested in applying for this opportunity should also have an interest in pursuing a career in the criminal justice field.

Down Syndrome Scholarship

Our attorneys believe in supporting causes that are near and dear to our hearts. In an effort to honor two of our attorneys who have children with disabilities, we offer $500 Annual Varghese Summersett PLLC Down Syndrome Scholarships. The purpose of this opportunity is to relieve the financial or recreational burden of opportunities for a child with Down syndrome. This may be used towards a camp, tutoring, education, or any tool to help the child prosper.
