Rose Hill Center
Description:
Professional Psychiatric Care
Medication alone isn’t enough to aid in recovery. Mental illnesses can be chemical, but they can also be rooted in a number of other causes. Professional psychiatric care and individually tailored therapeutic approaches are necessary to provide residents with insight, advice, and coping skills. Learning to manage an illness is a key part of experiencing a high quality of life.
Our therapeutic approaches can help adults, 18 and over, heal from an array of mental health disorders, including:
Co-Occurring treatment
Bipolar disorder and depression treatment
Personality disorder treatment
Severe depression treatment
Schizophrenia treatment
Schizoaffective disorder treatment
How Residential Rehab Works at Rose Hill
At Rose Hill, residents start with an intensive, comprehensive assessment period. During this period, our professionals work with them to form an effective treatment plan. This plan addresses all areas of independent living in order to prepare individuals for life after treatment at Rose Hill. Although the plan forms a clear path for treatment, it’s actually flexible for ongoing review, update, and revision. Facets of an individual’s recovery plan may include:
Group and individual therapy
Dialectical behavioral therapy
Cognitive behavioral therapy
Psychoeducational and 12-step community groups
Neurobiofeedback (available by referral)
Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy
All residents will have a dedicated case manager who will oversee all treatment and work closely with them in order to achieve individual goals. Once oriented to the structure of the program, residents start their work within three stages of treatment. These stages include individual responsibilities, goals, and privileges.

Rose Hill’s Transitional Living Service
Those who participate in Rose Hill Center’s Transitional Living Program will be living right on campus. However, the accommodation is far from clinical. Residential Program graduates reside with one or two roommates in townhouses that foster a community spirit. At the same time, however, this setting promotes a distinct sense of independence.
This accommodation style replicates a more traditional living environment. If the ultimate goal is to integrate into society or live with family members, we strongly recommend this transitional phase. Having a private space to call home offers more independence as well as more responsibility for everyday tasks. Residents work together, planning meals, cleaning their home, and developing budgeting skills.
The Need for Continuing Care
The stress of returning to the community without adequate support increases the likelihood of re-hospitalization. There is a clear need for some middle ground that helps residents transition safely from one environment to another.
Managing a mental illness requires a lot of support, and our Community Support Program provides exactly that. Even after completing treatment at our residential rehabilitation center, individuals will still have access to medication, education, and supervision, along with psychiatrist and case management appointments.
