North Oakland Transportation Authority (NOTA)

Description:

NOTA is a transportation service serving seniors, disabled and low income residents of Oxford, Orion and Addison Townships and the Villages of Oxford, Orion and Leonard since 2001. NOTA operates 16 routes Monday to Friday and two routes Saturday and two routes on Sunday. Weekend routes are local service only. The residents NOTA serves are transit dependent individuals who need help getting to medical appointments, grocery shopping , community events and work. Without NOTA many riders would not be able to leave their homes or live an independent life. To apply you must be a resident of Orion, Oxford or Addison Townships and be at least age 60, disabled or low income. Once registered you can make your scheduled rides with at least 3 day advance notice. Please cancel appointments no later than 6 hours prior to appointment time. Apply: Online, at office or ask to have an application mailed to you.

Fare System $1 for all one way rides to Orion, Oxford and Addison Twp. $2 for all other one way rides in our service area. Exact fare only or tokens. Tokens are available for purchase at our office. Buy 10 tokens get one free.
 
Note: You must schedule rides 72 hours ahead of time for medical appointments and 48 hours ahead for anything else..

When canceling, please call at least 6 hours in advance.

IMPORTANT COVID-19 UPDATES FROM NOTA

Effective Tuesday March 17, NOTA will begin to offer free transportation services due to COVID-19 until further notice. The goal is to maintain current service levels at this time and put procedures in place to help keep the public and our employees safe.

Please note if you are experiencing flu like symptoms NOTA will not be able to transport you. NOTA is not medical transportation.  Please stay home.  We are asking our employees and riders to stay home if you are sick or have had any symptoms in the last 3 days. The driver will give you hand sanitizer prior to boarding the vehicle. NOTA is disinfecting the vehicles daily.

In an effort to help senior citizens (age 60 or older) and individuals with underlying health conditions reduce their risk of being exposed to Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), NOTA is willing to help residents obtain food and other essentials from local Kroger or Meijer stores or FISH at no charge.
