Behavioral Health Services: Treating the Whole Person
While life is an amazing gift, it doesn’t come free of stress or obstacles—whether it’s job loss, financial worries, family strain or other emotional health problems. If you’re struggling to find optimal health and happiness, you’re far from alone. Every year, nearly 1 in 5 Americans suffers from a mental health issue.
Holland Hospital Behavioral Health Services is a place close to home you or someone you love can turn to for help. We offer a broad range of inpatient and outpatient mental health services to address your specific needs. Treating the whole person—mind, body and spirit—in a comfortable, confidential setting, our behavioral health specialists are dedicated to delivering personalized care and attention.
A Team You Can Trust
Behavioral Health Services offers specially designed services for children, adolescents, adults and seniors—all delivered with a compassionate, holistic approach. Our multidisciplinary team, which includes psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, medical social workers and others, will work together to help you realize a healthy, happy and productive life. We also staff a board-certified, fellowship-trained addictionologist (a psychiatrist specializing in addiction treatment).
A Comprehensive, Confidential Diagnosis
We know it’s far from easy to ask for help, but getting the professional treatment you need and deserve is crucial. The earlier a mental health issue is addressed, the better the chances of living a more fulfilling and independent life.
With you as our most valuable partner, our team of experts will ensure you receive trusted guidance and support every step of the way. After a thorough confidential assessment and diagnosis, your care will begin with a personal discussion of treatment options.
Outpatient Care
After a comprehensive evaluation, individualized treatment plans may include psychological testing, individual, group and/or family therapy, medication management, and more. Our outpatient team has experience treating a wide range of mental health concerns, such as:
- Depression
- Alcohol and substance abuse
- Problem gambling
- Child and adolescent mental health issues
- Anxiety
- Relationship and marital problems
- Stress and anger management

New Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Programs
The Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Programs are short-term, intensive treatment options for adults experiencing symptoms of mental illness who require more support than traditional outpatient treatment. Patients will receive evidence-based treatment to achieve goals of reducing symptoms and improving quality of life.
In our Partial Hospitalization Program, patients are in treatment for six hours per day, 5 days per week. Patients in the Intensive Outpatient Program participate in treatment 2-4 days per week based on need. Our services are designed around an individualized treatment plan which places each patient’s goals at the center of their care.
