Safety Fair

Livingston County boasts 29 beautiful lakes. The LaFave family and Autism Alliance of Michigan know the risks that can pose for children who tend to wander from safety and toward water, and just how critical a safety plan can be. Because of this, we held our It Takes a Village Safety Fair at the Livingston County EMS in Howell.

Thank you to all of our first responder partners who joined us with mounted police, fingerprinting services, tactical equipment, vehicles, Livingston County Sheriffs department, Smart 911 registrations, and our autism provider partners who helped reach families. Michigan families who have safety concerns, wherever their neighborhood, should contact MiNavigator at (877) 463-AAoM to obtain a safety packet and for help formulating a plan for their child at risk.

For those in Detroit interested in this event, we are hosting another It Takes a Village Safety Fair at Wayne College Community College-District Detroit Campus on August 12th from 10AM to 1PM. Please stop by at any time. Let us know you are coming here: https://autismsafetyfair.eventbrite.com
