BRILLIANCE OF AUTISM: UTILIZING OUR TALENTS TO IMPACT THE WORLD

Join us for a free in-person event presented by author and speaker, Ron Sandison. Parents and educators will learn practical ways to empower children and young adults with autism to utilize their strengths to accommodate limitations. In this message, Ron shares his journey with autism and the stories of young people on the spectrum who are impacting the world and the keys to their success. Packed with inspiring stories like Armani Williams, a NASCAR driver, Tarik El-Abour, a professional baseball player, and Rachel Barcellona, Miss Florida. Ron shares the wisdom he gained from interviewing two hundred plus young adults with autism while writing his fourth book Adulting on the Spectrum: An Insider’s Guide to Navigating Life with Autism published by Kregel.
This Evening Enrichment is designed for individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or families and caregivers supporting an individual with disabilities or learning challenges, school staff, and other community members.
Ron Sandison works full time in the medical field and is a professor of theology at Destiny School of Ministry. He is an advisory board member of the Art of Autism and the Els Center of Excellence. Sandison has a Master of Divinity from Oral Roberts University and is the author of A Parent’s Guide to Autism: Practical Advice, Biblical Wisdom published by Charisma House and Views from the Spectrum and Adulting on the Spectrum. He has memorized over 15,000 Scriptures including 22 complete books of the New Testament. Sandison speaks at over 70 events a year including 25 education conferences. Ron and his wife, Kristen, reside in Rochester Hills, MI, with daughter, Makayla.
