The DEIC would like to thank you all for sharing your stories and allowing us to share them with others. This year we highlighted:
- Books written by Barbie Santiago (mom), Joseph Ominchinski (Zoologist) and Rylan Vogelzang (young adult)
- The gap in diagnosis age for people of color
- The trailblazers of the disability community
- And many others
This list is just a few of the many efforts that the DEIC took part in this year. Thank you for entrusting the Autism Alliance of Michigan to help build a community that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive for all. Finally, please remember our friends, family, and neighbors who are experiencing a loss for the first time this year during this holiday season. Take care of each other and see you next year!!!
