United Shore in Troy
Autism Awareness Month
One of Autism Alliance of Michigan’s Navigator Specialist, Roba Hrisseh presented at United Shore in Troy for Autism Awareness Month. Over 49 employees from United Shore were able to learn about ASD (Autism Sprectrum Disorder) and what Autism Alliance of Michigan does to help families in Michigan.
These general awareness presentations are so important in teaching autism awareness and acceptance in the general community. Roba talked to the staff about ASD 101 including etiology, diagnosis, evaluation and treatment. Once of the most important skills learned during the day was strategies on how to interact with individuals with ASD, etc.
