Dana Cohen, PhD, LP

Description:

Dr. Cohen has devoted her career to helping children and families with special needs. After earning her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan, she went on to pursue Masters and Doctoral degrees in Clinical-Child Psychology at Wayne State University. Dr. Cohen then completed an APA-approved internship at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan, followed by a two-year postdoctoral fellowship at Beaumont Children’s Center for Human Development (CHD). She remained on staff at Beaumont’s CHD for the next twenty years, eventually serving as the Director of Evaluation Services, including the Approved Autism Evaluation Center (AAEC). She also maintained an Assistant Professor (Clinical Focus) appointment in the Oakland University William Beaumont (OUWB) Medical School.
Dr. Cohen is a fee-for-service provider. A detailed invoice will be provided so families can seek reimbursement from their insurance provider. Fees will be reviewed in detail before services are rendered.
For families with Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) or Blue Care Network (BCN) insurance: Evaluations will more than meet criteria to obtain authorization for treatment coverage should a diagnosis of ASD be confirmed, and ABA be recommended.
