Grand Haven Speech Partners aims to provide quality, research-based speech and language therapy to maximize your child’s progress.  Treatment is offered via teletherapy to serve children or adults throughout Michigan with a variety of speech and language needs including articulation disorders, apraxia of speech, social communication disorders, receptive and expressive language disorders, and difficulties related to autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disorders.  Speech therapy is driven by individualized goals that take into account your child’s current communication status, your family’s needs, and a belief in your child’s ability to reach new levels.

Articulation and Phonological Disorders and Apraxia of Speech

– For children with difficulty making specific speech sounds (for example “r”) or children with a diagnosis of apraxia of speech

– Research has shown that shorter, more frequent sessions lead to faster progress

– Teletherapy for articulation allows for short, intensive bursts of treatment that fits into your routine without all the extra traveling

Language and Literacy

– Intervention for struggling readers

– We address the ability to sound out and spell words, connect words to meaning, and understand what is read

– Teletherapy for language and literacy allows your child to improve their skills in a personal, 1-on-1 setting, to move at their own pace

Parent Coaching for Emerging Communicators

– For parents of children just beginning to communicate

– We offer a parent-coaching model to help you teach your child in every-day interactions

– Reduce the time spent in the car and spend more time playing with your child in ways that will lead to greater gains in their communication skills
