This group was created when my son was diagnosed with autism in 2012. I wanted him to have a place to connect with other children on the spectrum who can relate to the issues he is facing. Since then, the group has become a place of support for parents, families and friends of children on the autism spectrum. We hold regular events with the children and weekly coffee time for parents. It is our dream to assist all parents of children on the Autism Spectrum or with any special needs, in Branch County, Michigan, find the resources they need to help their children become the best they can be.

The group is here to be a shoulder to lean on when you need to cry, a listening ear when you need to vent and a cheerleader when you have a victory. We will not tolerate anyone using this group to tear others down. We know there will be times when you will be angry over events in the life of your child, please do not use names when you come here to get support in those situations. Educators, Medical Professionals and others in the community are doing their best to provide the services we need in a timely and caring manner but they are human and do make mistakes. Please provide a bit of grace to them as we would like them to do for us when we are not at our best. Anyone who violates this policy will be removed from the group.
