Many of our Autism Alliance of Michigan families and educators provided valuable input to the Lt. Governor this summer through completion of his special education survey and Listening Tour town hall meetings held across the state. The Lt. Governor has been invited to speak to the State Board of Education September 8th from 11:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m.. This meeting is open to the public. Families who want to be heard individually will be given a time-limited opportunity at 12:30. The meeting is held on the 4th floor of the John A. Hannah Building, 608 West Allegan, Lansing, Michigan.
We know this is a very busy time for families and children transitioning back to school, yet excited by the opportunity for the State Board to hear our families’ voices!
