Writing Quality and Comprehensive Behavior Support Plans VIRTUAL

This training will introduce attendees to two new tools that will be systematically implemented across the state to develop sound behavior support plans for individuals being served through community mental health. This includes a rubric developed by Western Michigan University BCBA program that is intended to help guide clinicians who have responsibility for writing and reviewing plans. The training will provide attendees with models and practice opportunities using the tools with various case examples.

This training contains content appropriate for all levels of Social Workers, Behavior Analysts, Psychologists, and any other professionals who write behavior support plans for individuals in Michigan, as well as members of behavior treatment communities.

Presenter(s)

Jillian D. Schneider, MA, MTD, LPC, CAADC, CCSAS, ASC
Jillian owns her own private practice in Oakland County (Troy, MI). She oversaw Behavior Treatment Teams, BTPRC’s, and policies/procedures at an administrative role in Oakland County. She provides clinical content expertise and guidance to the Provider/Service Networks for the development and improvement of service initiatives, projects, and programs. Jillian specializes in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. Jillian has been working in the mental health field for almost 16+ years. She is the BTP MIFAST team lead and also a part of the LOCUS MIFAST Review team. Jillian graduated from Siena Heights with a MA in School and Community Counseling. She also has another Masters In Training and Development from Oakland University holds several certifications.
John Langlois, MS, LLP, QIDP
John is a behavioral analyst, psychotherapist and Clinical Manager at MORC, Inc. located in Macomb, Oakland, and Wayne Counties. He oversees the counseling, behavioral supports and occupational therapy services for approximately 6000 individuals. John has been the Behavior Treatment Plan Review Committee chairperson for 20+ years. He is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University with a Masters in Clinical-Behavioral Psychology. John is a MIFAST specialist reviewer assisting organizations with the development of behavioral treatment plans and promoting the fidelity of BTPRCs in Michigan. He has developed many tools used locally by clinicians to perform functional analysis of behaviors, effective data collection and service utilization to promote evidenced-based treatment.

CEUs Registration Deadline: Registration closes 3 business days prior to the training.

Payment Due: Payment must be received 5 business days prior to the training. Webinar links for the training will only be sent to paid registrants. Purchase orders are not considered payment. All no shows will be invoiced the full registration amount.
If you cancel or no-show, you are responsible for the mailing the materials back to CMHAM at your expense within 10 business days. If materials are not mailed back with in the 10 business days an invoice will be sent for cost of the materials.

Social Workers: This course qualifies for a maximum of 5.5 Continuing Education hours. The Community Mental Health Association is an approved provider with the Michigan Social Work Continuing Education Collaborative. Approved Provider Number: MICEC 060818. Qualifies as “face-to-face (in-person) education.”
Certificate Awarded: After confirmation that you have fully participated in this training (see Virtual Participation section below), completed the quiz/polls and evaluation, your Continuing Education Certificate will be emailed to you within 30 days of the training.

Virtual Participation: You are expected to actively participate in the webinar. See below for additional information about virtual webinar recommendations and requirements.
– After registering, you will receive a confirmation email.
– Payment must be received 5 business days prior to the training.
– One week prior to the training, we will send you an email with login details so you can view the webinar. Webinar links for the training will only be sent to paid registrants.
– Recommend that you save webinar links in your calendar for easy access the day of the training.
– You must watch the webinar LIVE to receive credit for the training.
– Each person must have their own laptop/computer/tablet – you cannot share a device.
– Video camera must be on at all times and showing the individual. Telephone only option is not acceptable.

– Lack of response to multiple chats directly from moderators may impact your ability to receive continuing education credits.
– Recommend that attendees log into the webinar waiting room at least 15 minutes before the training begins.
– Registration report will indicate arrival time (note for continuing education you must be logged into the virtual training within 5 minutes of the start of the training).
– Polls and/or quizzes will be randomly given with a limited time for attendees to response. This is required for continuing education.
– Internet: A strong internet connection is highly recommended. If your internet service is not able to stream videos, it will likely not be strong enough to support a webinar training. You will want a minimum upload speed of 5mbps. If technology may be an issue for you, please contact CMHA at 517-374-6848 to discuss options further.
– Each training takes place in the time zone of its location and all agenda times reflect that.
– After confirmation that you have fully participated in this training, completed the quiz and evaluation, your Continuing Education Certificate will be emailed to you within 30 days of the training.

National Accreditation Rules: National Accreditation rules indicate that if you are over five (5) minutes late or depart early, you forfeit your continuing education hours for the entire training. Please note that this is a National rule that CMHA must enforce or we could lose our provider status to provide continuing education hours in the future. This rule will be strictly followed.

Cancellation Policy

$25
Cancellations must be received in writing at least 10 business days prior to the conference for a full refund less a $25 administrative fee. If cancellation is received less than 10 business days prior to the training, no refund will be given and the full charge will be incurred. Substitutions are permitted at any time.
