Sensory Processing for the Special Needs Family

This educational course focuses on providing families with individuals (children and adults) with special needs tools for addressing their loved ones sensory needs. Implemented by Certified Recreational Therapists and Special Needs Parent, Mary Nagy with 20+ years of experience. This course will help parents/families identify sensory seeking and sensory avoiding behaviors, and provide tools and activities to address sensory seeking/avoiding behaviors at home and in the community.
Focusing on:
-the sensory processing systems in the body
-how to recognize and identify specific sensory needs
-interventions to provide self-regulation specific to that need
Cost: $10 for residents, $12 for non-residents
Any extra family member who wants to attend is $2
Childcare is available for ages 5+ and is an extra $10.
