Seeking Infants for Early Detection of ASD

SUNY Upstate’s Departments of Physical Therapy Education and Pediatrics are seeking infants between 4 and 8 weeks of age for a paid research study! To further explore the developmental differences in infants at high-risk for autism spectrum disorder (ASD) compared to infants at low-risk for ASD and to evaluate differences in parent/caregiver stress between the two infant groups, we are looking to recruit infants with one older sibling diagnosed with ASD to compare to infants with no family history of ASD. One-hour monthly home visits will be completed to measure your infant’s overall development, as well as your levels of parenting stress over the first year of life.
