Mental Health is Essential! And Key to Success at School

Join Michigan Alliance for Families at either 12pm or 6:30pm for Mental Health is Essential! And Key to Success at School with Terri Henrizi, Association for Children’s Mental Health
This workshop will discuss how supporting student’s social, emotional, behavioral and mental health needs is key to learning and school success.
During this webinar we will explore/discuss:
• Links between mental health and school performance
• Needs and obstacles of children and youth with mental health challenges at school
• Keys to successfully supporting mental health needs at school
• Strategies to unlock success, get support, access accommodations, make connections and more.
We will also examine a few School Based Mental Health initiatives and other approaches of schools and families that work and share resources and tools to help.
Who should attend? Families of children, youth or young adults with mental health or other learning challenges, disabilities, school staff and other community members.
