How To Develop and Maintain Trust in School-Family Partnerships

There is an important connection between trust, school, and family engagement. This workshop will focus on the importance of building trusting family-school relationships for improved student outcomes for children who receive special education supports and services. Real-life examples will be shared by seasoned mediator/facilitator and parent of child with a disability.
· Definition of trust and its five components.
· How trust can be built, nurtured and maintained.
· How to repair trust when it has been damaged.

Who should attend? Families with a child with a disability or learning challenge, school staff, other community members.
