Disability Across The Lifespan
June 28, 2019 @ 8:30 am – 4:00 pm
Training Advocates and Caregivers across a Lifetime of Disability or TACLD is being offered by AAoM to help individuals with disabilities and their caregivers prepare for a lifetime of negotiating complex policies and systems. Our Navigators know that the number of individuals in need of an advocate on their side far outweigh those who can afford or access a paid advocate or attorney. Additionally those who are aware of policies that impact their future can better prepare for that future. This training was assembled by skilled attorneys and professionals working with AAoM. This session is not intended for professional advocates, but rather adults with disabilities, caregivers, and other professionals who would like to become more savvy navigating policy.
Please join us for a full day as Healthcare, Education, Transition, Housing, Employment, and Community Inclusion are TACLD with this training team! Attendance is FREE thanks to generous funding from the Carls Foundation, however you must be registered at [email protected]. Breakfast, lunch, and training materials will be provided.
Registration begins @ 8:00
